Kellie M. Martin, a native of the United States is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her role as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. She is also known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Born to a department store owner and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her career in acting when she was just seven, when her aunt who served as a nanny for Michael Landon's children, assisted her in landing an appearance in the series of 1982 'Father Murphy'. When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more than just a hobby. She landed significant roles on television as well as the big screen. Martin as well as acting, she is also a skilled photographer and ballet dancer. The mother of two daughters Martin is the Lupus ambassador and has been spreading awareness of the disease each day following the passing of her sister when she was the age of 19.
